diaper rash, skin irritation, and eczema

around here we know a lot about irritated skin. our daughter has extremely sensitive skin. we have tried virtually everything known to sooth her itchy skin. here are some of the things that have worked for us.

This product was a little hard to find locally, but it hydrated her skin really well. It's a bit pricey if your child has bad eczema as ours did. We still use the body wash for her baths. It is way less harsh on her than some of the other organic/natural options.

I randomly came across Sherry's posting for free samples on a cloth diaper forum. The baby bum balm is amazing not only for diaper rash, but instantly soothed our daughters cheeks (where her eczema is worse) Within 1 day of having the sample I was hooked. This by far is my favorite and I hope that she has success. She is just launching her site so I'm not sure when the product will be available for sale.

I ended up buying some of this while it was on babysteals.com one day. I figured it was worth a shot. it's a little sticky, but it does the job. the sticks are huge which makes the price worth it.

This is the ONLY lotion that does not dry out her skin. We have tried almost all others recommended from the National Eczema Association and our dermatologist.

We put an emollient on her within 3 minutes of getting out of her 20 minute long bath tub soaks. This is a great plant based alternative to the petroleum products that they recommend. It works exactly the same as them, and doesn't contain chemicals!
